1. Who We Are

IntelliConnect Systems FZCO (“IntelliConnect”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a smart home systems company based in Dubai, UAE. We operate the website intelliconnect.ae and design and install smart home systems powered by the iConnect platform.

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the rights you hold. We handle personal data in line with Federal Decree Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the UAE PDPL) and its implementing regulations.

2. Personal Data We Collect

We collect only the data we need to respond to you and deliver our services.

Data you give us directly

Name, phone number, and email address
Emirate or community, and property type (villa, apartment, or commercial)
Details of your project, such as new build or renovation, and your smart home requirements
The content of messages you send us on WhatsApp, through our website chat, by email, by phone, or through our website forms
Project documents you share, such as floor plans and drawings

Data we collect automatically when you visit our website

IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
Pages visited, time spent on pages, and the website that referred you
Cookie and similar identifiers (see Section 6)

3. How We Collect Your Data

Meta Instant Forms. When you submit a lead form on a Facebook or Instagram ad, Meta passes the details you entered to us. Meta also processes that data under its own privacy policy.
WhatsApp. When you click a WhatsApp ad or the WhatsApp button on our website, or message our business number, we receive your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name, and your messages.
Website forms. When you submit an enquiry or consultation request on intelliconnect.ae, we receive the details you enter. Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA to block spam.
Website chat. When you use the live chat on our website, our chat provider (Zoho SalesIQ) records your messages, the pages you view, and technical details such as your approximate location and device.
Email, phone, and meetings. We keep records of our communication with you, including notes from discovery calls and site visits.
Website analytics. We use Google analytics tools to understand how visitors use our website.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

Respond to your enquiry and book your free consultation
Qualify your project and prepare a proposal, quotation, or design
Deliver, install, support, and maintain your smart home system
Send you project updates, service reminders, and information about iConnect Care plans
Send you marketing messages, where you have agreed to receive them
Improve our website, our services, and our advertising
Meet our legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data on one or more of these grounds:

Your consent, for example when you submit a form or message us and agree to be contacted, when you accept analytics cookies or choose to start a chat, and for marketing messages
Contract, where we need your data to prepare or perform an agreement with you
Legal obligation, where UAE law requires us to keep records
Legitimate interest, where we improve our services and protect our business, and your rights do not override that interest

You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 9).

6. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, measure traffic, and understand how visitors find us. When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject non essential cookies, or choose by category. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link on our website. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.

We use these categories of cookies:

Essential. These keep the site secure and working, including spam protection on our forms. They do not need your consent.
Analytics. Google analytics tools set these to show us how visitors use the site. They store cookies only after you accept.
Functional. Our live chat and WhatsApp button set these. They load when you visit the site. Starting a chat is your choice, and our chat provider records what you send.

Our advertising runs on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). Meta may collect data about your interaction with our ads and use it to measure results and show relevant advertising. You control ad personalisation in your Meta account settings.

7. Who We Share Your Data With

We share personal data only with service providers and partners who need it to help us serve you:

Meta Platforms, which delivers our ads and Instant Forms, and operates WhatsApp
Technology providers, including our website host (Hostinger), email, CRM and live chat providers (Zoho), and Google, which provides analytics and reCAPTCHA spam protection
Subcontractors, such as electricians and specialist installers, who receive only the project details they need to complete work at your property
Professional advisers, auditors, and regulators, where the law requires it

We require these parties to protect your data and use it only for the purpose we gave them. We may also disclose data if a court, regulator, or law enforcement authority lawfully requires it.

8. International Transfers

Some of our providers store or process data outside the UAE. Where we transfer personal data abroad, we do so only where the PDPL permits and with appropriate safeguards in place.

9. Your Rights

Under the UAE PDPL you have the right to:

Request access to the personal data we hold about you
Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
Ask us to delete your data, where we have no legal reason to keep it
Ask us to restrict or stop processing your data
Object to processing, including direct marketing
Request a copy of your data in a portable format
Withdraw your consent at any time

To use any of these rights, email info@intelliconnect.ae. We will confirm your identity and respond within the time the law allows. You may also stop marketing messages at any time by replying “STOP” on WhatsApp or by telling us directly.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the UAE Data Office.

10. How Long We Keep Your Data

Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months from your last contact with us
Client and project records: for the life of the project and the warranty and support period, then for the period UAE law requires for financial and contractual records
Marketing preferences: until you withdraw your consent

When we no longer need your data, we delete it or anonymise it.

11. Data Security

We protect your data with access controls, encrypted connections, and restricted access to client records. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

12. Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

13. Links to Other Websites

Our website may link to other websites, including social media platforms. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies before you share personal data with them.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We post the current version on this page with the date of the latest update. Material changes will be highlighted on our website.
